Mengo Elite League Season 1 in Action.
The organizing committee kick-started the league on 28th July 2019 by parading eight teams to face off on grounds common to all at the Mengo Soccer pitch.
For four straight months, eight teams battled out each other to the grand finale on 17th November 2019 when the MEL season 1 winners (DH EXPENDABLES) were crowned at a high-spirited event.
It was never an easy season for the winners as all teams were dead-locked on “taking it home”. The action was non-stop for all the muddy, rainy, and sunny days played throughout the season. Teamwork and endurance were tested as teams struggled to keep consistency throughout the entire 11 gameplays of the full season.
All games played were highly anticipated, this saw the participation of many school staff, pro players, and spectators for season 1 which gives so much expectation for the upcoming seasons.
